Fall 2023 Micro-Course

Navigating Christian Resources, Part 3: Learning From Our Spiritual Forefathers

This class is a further extension of the two previous classes covering Christian resources. Scripture is our first and final authority, yet other important works such as creeds, confessions, theological works, and biographies should be studied. In this class (part 3) we will examine and evaluate these resources as we argue for their use to better expound Scripture theologically better equip Christians to worship God. We stand on the shoulders of Christians in church history – men and women who for 2000 years have wrestled with the meaning and application of Scripture. These writings have been graciously given by God to aid in our sanctification, and it behooves us to utilize these resources.
